Using the print label feature on your FedEx Account Manager site does more than let you print FedEx label, it can help you manage your return policy too. When you create a shipment delivery order, the system will prompt you for all the required information, and will also present you with choices for delivery and return planning. Once you have completed your first label, you will understand just how easy the Account Manager is to use to print labels and your next ones will be finished quickly. Alternatively, you can use FedEx shipping software solutions to print FedEx label, too.
Step 1 - Sign In and Choose to Create the Label
You have to sign into your FedEx Account Manager program to print FedEx label. You may be doing this directly on the FedEx site, or you may be doing this via an integrated shipping label app within your inventory program. In either case, once it is acknowledged that you have successfully signed in, select the option to create a shipment delivery.
STEP 2 – ENTER THE SHIPPING DETAILS
Fill out all of the information required for the shipping details. This includes all of the name and address information, but you also want to add in any special instructions and contact numbers you have. This is also where you will select whether or not it is OK to leave the package unattended for delivery.
STEP 3 – ENTER THE RETURN SHIPPING DETAILS
Many of the shipments sent using FedEx will attach the return shipping details right to the label. The return shipping details don’t imply you will be paying for the return, but it does provide the customer with the information they need to place a return. If you are providing a return label as a courtesy to your customers, that is done in the next step.
STEP 4 – CHOOSE A FEDEX SHIPPING SERVICE AND RETURN LABEL OPTIONS
Now choose the FedEx shipping service that you want to use with the package going out. You will also choose whether or not to print a companion return label, to not have a return label, to email the return label to your customer, or to have FedEx create the return label and deliver it to the customer. Make sure, when choosing the service and return label options, that you are using the best one for your actual shipping needs. They have expedited, standard and flat rate options, as well as week-end delivery options for many destinations.
STEP 5 – PRINT THE COMPLETED LABEL
The last step is printing the label. You want to print FedEx label onto the label paper provided by your FedEx supplier. Make sure the label prints clearly. You don’t want to use a label where the bar codes are streaked or blurred. Another helpful tip is to opt to save the label as a PDF when you are done. This provides another important backup in case there is a dispute about the shipping. That is all there is to print a FedEx label for your shipment. It is easy, and will help you manage your shipment and return policies and process.
